Carla Merolla Odell
I am committed to honoring your story.
I am a former New York City senior editor and writer specializing in “Real Life” features (biography, memoir, autobiography), short story and fiction for some of the biggest magazines in the world, including People, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan, Success, Modern Maturity (AARP) and Woman’s World. I have contributed to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and presently write features for several Bucks County publications. During my 25-year-long career, I have led numerous memoir-writing seminars and been a guest speaker at a number of NYC continuing-education workshops for budding essayists. I was awarded First Prize for Short Nonfiction (2010) and First Prize for Contemporary Short Story (2011) at the 62nd and 63rd Annual Philadelphia Writers’ Conference.
